Dormitory (single room) facilties at Dookie Campus comprise of 3 main buildings with approximately 50 rooms in each. Each dormitory room contains a single bed, bedside table, wardrobe, draws, desk, chair and heating. All rooms are carpeted. Guests in dormitory accommodation share bathrooms, common rooms and kitchen facilities which are located on each floor of the dormitory accommodation. Linen can be supplied and all facilities are cleaned daily. Dormitory accommodation is available for all first year students. It includes breakfast on weekdays and a two course evening meal from Monday to Thursday. Vegetarian and special diets are catered for. Living on campus assists with study, results in lasting friendships and broadens students' outlooks and understanding.
Dookie student accommodation provides:
- carpeted, single study bedrooms
- student lounges (with billiard tables, TVs and videos)
- fully equipped kitchenettes
- easy access to the sporting facilities on campus
- 7-day a week access to computing and library facilities during semester
- residential manager on campus
- senior student support in the first year dormitories

Students in their second year, third year, and post-graduate students may elect to share one of the houses or fully furnished six bedroom apartments available on campus.
Fees
Houses
The weekly fee for a room in a Dookie Campus house will be $95.00. The houses are unfurnished and the occupants must arrange for electricity and phone connection. The accommodation fee is payable from 3rd March, 2008 until 28th November 2008, this fee includes the holiday periods. A bond of $150.00, $20.00 room key deposit, $20.00 mail box key deposit, plus 4 weeks rental in advance must be paid before a student may take up residence in a house (initial advance payment required - $570.00). Students occupying a room in a house in 2007 and continuing studies in 2008 must reapply.
Students are reminded they are not to keep any animal or bird on the premises. Failure to comply with this clause in the lease will result in immediate termination of the students lease. (Please ensure that you read the lease agreement which can be obtained from the Residential Manager)
Preference will be given to students in their third year and mature age students. However, academic results and conduct record will be taken into account for all applicants.
Thompson/Pudney Units
The weekly fee for a room will be $130.00 per week for the 16 weeks of each semester excluding holiday periods. Thompson and Pudney are modern purpose built student residences. Each has 6 bedrooms, is fully furnished and centrally heated.
Please note - In the lease agreement point (12), the student shall not be entitled to any refund in relation to any periods during the term of the agreement in which the student is not in occupation of the room. Preference will be given to students in their third year and mature age students. However, academic results and conduct record will be taken into account for all applicants.
The accommodation agreement and terms are similar to the dormitories. A bond of $150.00, $20.00 room key deposit, $20.00 mail box key deposit and 3 weeks rental is required in advance of a student taking up residence in Pudney and Thompson units (initial advance payment required - $580.00).
Single-Quarters
The weekly fee for single-quarters will be $110.00 per week and is payable for the 16 weeks of each semester excluding holiday periods.
Single-Quarters are in blocks containing 4 student rooms with each block containing a sink, fridge, single shower and toilet. A shared kitchen and lounge area is provided in a separate block.
A bond of $150.00, $20.00 room key deposit, $20.00 mail box key deposit and 3 weeks rental is required in advance to moving in (initial advance payment required - $520.00).
Preference will be given to senior students. However, academic results and conduct record will be taken into account for all applicants.
Dormitories
The weekly proposed fee for dormitories including 9 meals will be $220.00 per week for the 16 weeks of each semester excluding holiday periods.
Applications accompanied by a $150.00 bond, $20.00 room key deposit, $20.00 mail box key deposit (initial advance payment required - $190.00) and preferred room should be forwarded to the Residential Manager by 30 th January 2008.Supervision
There is a Night Time Supervisor on duty each evening, and four senior students live in the first year dormitory. The senior students are a 'big brother' or 'big sister' to the new students and are there to help with the adjustment of moving from school to university and living away from home. In addition, a number of staff, including the Head of Campus and Residential Manager live on campus, which provides a village atmosphere and strong community spirit.
