Dookie Student Association Clubs

At Dookie clubs can change from year to year and reflect the interests of current students. If a group of students wants to create a new club they can do this through the DSA. Listed below are some of the clubs at Dookie.

Dookie United Football and Netball

Dookie United Football Netball Club Logo

In 1977 the Dookie Agricultural College Football Club merged with the Dookie Football Club and became the Dookie United Football and Netball Club.

Students are encouraged to support the local Dookie United Football Club and the Dookie United Netball Club, both of which had excellent seasons in 2004 & 2005. Both clubs cater for all standards with divisions ranging from 'A' grade to 'E' grade.

The clubs compete in the Picola and District Football League and play throughout the Goulburn Valley including Shepparton, Alexandra and Waaia.

Training is weekly during the winter season. These are very social clubs with regular BBQ's and an annual ball. The DSA financially assists players membership fees in lieu of having a separate club on campus.

For further information, please contact Dookie United Football Netball Club

Golf Club

The Golf Club regularly visits the Shepparton Golf Course which has a relaxed country atmosphere and uncrowded fairways, and makes trips to other courses around the Goulburn Valley and Murray River regions. Green fees are subsidised by the Club.

The Working Dog Club participates in competitions around the state and hosts events at Dookie Campus. Club dogs are also permitted to work stock on Broadacre paddocks with the permission of the Broadacre Manager.

To use the kennels, dogs must be from a working dog breed and the student must actively maintain the dog's training, including participation in stock work. However the club offers day time kennel facilities for other dog breeds. There are a limited number of kennels and bookings in advance are essential. Please contact the DSA for more information about kennelling costs and booking arrangements.
