Research and Industry Partnerships

Dookie is the major rural higher education campus of the Melbourne School of Land and Environment (LFR), The University of Melbourne. The University is recognised worldwide for the quality of its research, courses and graduates. The research goals of the Campus are to provide research training and research relevant to the needs of the land and food industries of north east Victoria in particular, as well as south-eastern Australia and beyond. The research program at Dookie Campus is incorporated with the commercial activities of the Dookie Farms.

Priorities for the Campus are growth in:

  • systems based research with strong links to industry and other research organizations
  • postgraduate research training in systems based research in a rural context
  • knowledge transfer
  • collaboration with industry
  • community engagement
